Current Issues of Family Education and Parent-Child Relationships in the Context of Globalization of Society

Starting from October 15, 2024, thе Republican Center for the Study of Public Opinion "Ijtimoiy Fikr" is conducting a telephone survey titled "CHILDREN'S UPBRINGING: STATE, CHARACTERISTICS, AND PROBLEMS".

The purpose of the research is to study the family as the primary institution for upbringing and the initial socialization of the younger generation, to identify the conditions created in Uzbek families for the harmonious development of children, and to determine the prospects for the development of parent-child relationships in connection with globalization processes and modern challenges and threats facing our society. Additionally, the research aims to explore citizens' opinions on the influence of information and communication technologies, the internet, gadgets, and social media on the value orientations of the younger generation.

One of the important stages of the research is the examination of issues related to the implementation and protection of children's rights and interests.

The telephone survey will involve residents from various regions of the country, both men and women, young parents as well as parents of mature and older ages, representatives of different nationalities and social strata, engaged in a wide range of fields.   

The survey will use a random stratified sample of respondents selected from all subscribers of fixed and mobile telephone services in the country.

Information will be collected through interviews using a standardized questionnaire prepared by the specialists of the Center.
