A practical internship for second-year Master’s students majoring in Sociology from the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan is currently being held at the Republican Center for the Study of Public Opinion “Ijtimoiy Fikr.”

The internship takes place from January 26 to May 9, 2026, and is aimed at integrating students’ theoretical knowledge with practical experience, as well as developing skills in applying sociological research methods in real-world conditions.

During the introductory meeting, attended by the Center’s management and responsible representatives of its key departments, the master’s students were provided with detailed information about the internship process, its stages, objectives, and expected outcomes.

The internship is not limited to a single area and is organized on a rotational basis across all structural divisions of the Center, including analytical, information and mathematical, and other departments. This enables students to practically master the full cycle of sociological research — from planning and data collection to analysis and formulation of final conclusions.

Throughout the practical training, the master’s students participate in conducting real sociological surveys, preparing analytical reports, and implementing monitoring projects. This contributes to the development of their professional competencies, the acquisition of independent research experience, and a deeper understanding of modern sociological methods.

This internship serves not only as an important stage of professional development for students but also as a significant step for the “Ijtimoiy Fikr” Center in training young researchers, ensuring the continuity of scientific traditions, and attracting new talent to the field of sociological research.
