STATE OF ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE AND THE “RELEVANT 90 DAYS” PROGRAM

Since March 10 of the current year, the Republican Center for the Study of Public Opinion “Ijtimoiy Fikr” has launched a large-scale sociological survey titled:
“Assessment by Residents of Tashkent City of the Condition of Road Infrastructure and Measures for Its Improvement within the Framework of the ‘Relevant 90 Days’ Program.”

The study is aimed at examining how the public evaluates ongoing reforms focused on the development of urban infrastructure, ensuring road safety, and creating a comfortable and efficient road environment for the population.

The main objective of the study is to conduct a scientific and sociological analysis of Tashkent residents’ attitudes toward the current state of road infrastructure, the effectiveness of traffic management systems, and the measures implemented under the “Relevant 90 Days” program aimed at reducing traffic congestion, improving road safety, and enhancing urban transport logistics. At the same time, the study seeks to identify citizens’ assessments of the problems they encounter in their daily mobility, including the condition of urban roads, the performance of public transport, the shortage of parking spaces, and the effectiveness of road signs and traffic lights.

Within the framework of the research, the level of public awareness regarding the traffic management system in the city is also being examined, particularly the degree of awareness about the activities of the Tashkent City Traffic Management Center. In addition, the study analyzes the level of public trust in the “Relevant 90 Days” program, as well as citizens’ opinions on the potential for improving road infrastructure in the short term through the implementation of this program.

During the survey, respondents are invited to express their views on issues such as the level of traffic congestion in the city, the quality of road surfaces, the condition of road markings and signs, the functioning of public transport, the infrastructure of bus stops, as well as the impact of advertising structures and roadside commercial facilities on road safety. Furthermore, opinions and suggestions are collected regarding which problems in the city’s traffic system are considered most pressing and what measures, in the respondents’ view, should be taken to address them.

Based on the results of the study, a scientific analysis of public opinion on the current state of Tashkent’s road infrastructure will be conducted. The findings are intended to serve as an important empirical basis for decision-making aimed at further improving the urban transport system, enhancing road safety, reducing congestion levels, and creating a more comfortable urban environment for the population.

The sociological research conducted by the Republican Center for the Study of Public Opinion “Ijtimoiy Fikr” has significant scientific and practical importance, as it is aimed at aligning urban infrastructure development processes with public interests through the study of citizens’ opinions, strengthening mechanisms of interaction between the state and society, and incorporating public perspectives into urban development processes.
