Starting from June 11, 2025, the  Republican Center for the Study of Public Opinion "Ijtimoiy Fikr" has launched a large-scale sociological survey on the topic: "Human Trafficking: Awareness, Causes, Consequences, and Counteraction". This research represents an important scientific and practical step in identifying the scale of human trafficking, studying public attitudes towards its risks, and assessing the level of protective awareness.

The survey covers various segments of the population, including youth, labor migrants, women, and socially vulnerable groups. Through the questionnaire, an analysis will be conducted of respondents' personal experiences, sources of information, risk factors, level of trust in state policy, and knowledge of human rights.

The questionnaire developed by the Center is based on international standards, the provisions of the UN Convention against Trafficking in Persons, and the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Combating Human Trafficking.”

Respondents are asked about their awareness of the forms of human trafficking (labor exploitation, sexual violence, trafficking in human organs, fraudulent marriages, etc.), potentially dangerous situations, criminal mechanisms, their attitude toward these issues, and their level of legal awareness. The responses of those who have had personal experience or experience involving close ones will be analyzed separately.

The relevance of this survey is tied not only to the need to eliminate violations of the law, but also to strengthening an individual-centered approach and recognizing the value of human life in society. According to international organizations, human trafficking is the third most profitable illegal business in the world, after drug trafficking and arms smuggling. Effective combat against this phenomenon is impossible without the broad participation of not only law enforcement agencies, but also civil society, NGOs, media, and educational institutions.

It should be emphasized that all responses of the survey participants will be strictly confidential, and personal data will not be disclosed. The results will be analyzed exclusively in aggregate form.

Citizen participation in this study is a contribution to the protection of human rights and a demonstration of active civic engagement in the fight against human trafficking. The safety of society depends on the awareness, knowledge, and vigilance of each of us.
