The Republican Center for the Study of Public Opinion "Ijtimoiy Fikr" has commenced a survey titled "Citizens' Assessment of Air Quality and Atmospheric Pollution."
The study encompasses all regions of the country, involving men and women aged 18 and older, from various social strata, and engaged in a wide range of fields. The survey is being conducted via telephone. The questions presented in the study address citizens' perception of air quality, the public's level of concern regarding atmospheric pollution, and their opinions on the potential causes of the deteriorating environmental situation.
Environmental issues are becoming increasingly important for our country. The observed natural changes, the growing industrial and transport load, and the impact of climatic factors are increasingly becoming a subject of discussion among both specialists and ordinary citizens. In this context, it is crucial not only to study objective indicators but also to understand how people perceive what is happening, what specifically causes their concern, and what solutions they consider most effective.
Public opinion remains one of the key indicators of social sentiment. It provides a real picture of citizens' daily lives. The results of such studies help determine the extent to which the population is informed about the state of the environment, which aspects cause the most attention and concern, and whether people of Uzbekistan support the proposed measures for improving the situation. The ongoing survey is particularly relevant given the public's increasing interest in issues of quality of life and environmental safety. Today, the state of the air has become one of the most discussed topics, attracting public attention. Therefore, if you receive a call from a Center employee, please do not refuse to participate. A few minutes of your time will help to create an objective picture of opinions across the country and better understand people's expectations regarding environmental issues.
