In connection with the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, we sincerely congratulate all our compatriots!
This blessed month is recognized as a period when spiritual renewal, patience, tolerance, and compassion gain particular importance in society, while humanistic values are further strengthened. Ramadan is significant not only as a time of religious devotion but also as a period marked by increased social solidarity, mutual assistance, and the development of a culture of charity.
The Republican Center for the Study of Public Opinion “Ijtimoiy Fikr” has launched a sociological study entitled: “Public Attitudes toward the Holy Month of Ramadan, Charity, and Government Support Measures for Socially Vulnerable Population Groups.”
The main objective of the study is to comprehensively examine public views on charitable practices, the values of compassion and social responsibility, the role of Ramadan in individual and social life, practices of providing assistance to those in need, as well as public perceptions of the government’s social support policy.
The research will explore the level of citizens’ involvement in charitable activities, forms of assistance, support channels, social and moral factors motivating charitable behavior, levels of trust in charitable institutions, attitudes toward transparency in their activities, and socio-psychological aspects of the perception of Ramadan. In addition, the study will examine public opinions on fasting practices, the transformation of societal values in recent years, and the dynamics of religious and social activity.
Special attention will be given to public opinion regarding government social support measures implemented during the month of Ramadan, including assistance programs for low-income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. Assessing citizens’ attitudes toward these initiatives, their level of trust, and public expectations constitutes one of the key directions of the study.
