JULY 30 — DAY OF FRIENDSHIP OF PEOPLES

Every person dreams of living in a peaceful, respectful, and free society. This universal dream is made possible through friendship, tolerance, and mutual respect among peoples. That is why July 30 is marked around the world as a symbol of unity and cultural harmony among people.

The friendship of peoples is not just a slogan — it is daily cooperation, a way of life, and a continuous movement towards social justice and unity of thought.

Uzbekistan can serve as an example to the world in this regard. Our country is home to representatives of more than 130 nationalities and ethnic groups, with over 200 national-cultural centers operating. Equal rights and opportunities are enshrined in the Constitution, and the state’s policy is aimed at strengthening interethnic harmony — all of which vividly demonstrates the essence of this day in practice.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized this point: “We consider it our constant task to ensure the equal and harmonious coexistence of representatives of all nations, nationalities, and religions.”

The friendship of peoples is not only about respect for the past but also responsibility for the future. The stability of interethnic relations in the country ensures social justice, strengthens society, and protects human rights.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights and UNESCO resolutions regard the protection of cultural diversity as a foundation of friendship, sustainable development, and social justice.

On this day, we sincerely congratulate all our compatriots — regardless of their nationality or religious affiliation — on the Day of Friendship of Peoples!

May there be peace in every home, tolerance in every heart, and mutual respect in every society!
Friendship unites us, tolerance elevates us, and peace leads us to prosperity.
