On March 12 of the current year, the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek hosted a job fair titled “Career Day,” aimed at facilitating students’ integration into the labor market, ensuring their employment during their free time, and expanding future employment opportunities for graduates.
The event was organized in line with the tasks set by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to promote employment among university students, improve their standard of living, and enhance the economic activity of youth.
The event brought together representatives of government and public organizations, enterprises, and institutions operating in various sectors, as well as staff members of the Republican Center for the Study of Public Opinion “Ijtimoiy Fikr.”
The main goals and objectives of the job fair included:
- expanding employment opportunities for university students during their free time from studies;
- familiarizing graduates with labor market requirements;
- increasing the effectiveness of employment processes for young specialists;
- developing practical cooperation between educational institutions and employer organizations.
As part of the event, participating organizations provided information about available job vacancies, internship programs, and professional development opportunities for young people.
Representatives of the Republican Center for the Study of Public Opinion “Ijtimoiy Fikr” presented detailed information about the Center’s activities, key areas of sociological research focused on public opinion studies, ongoing analytical and scientific work, as well as current job openings. In addition, students were informed about opportunities to engage in the Center’s activities, participate in research projects, and their prospects for future employment.
During the job fair, students had the opportunity to communicate directly with representatives of various organizations and institutions, learn about employment conditions, internship opportunities, and obtain valuable information related to their future professional careers.
Following the event, participants exchanged views on further expanding cooperation aimed at supporting student employment, developing their professional potential, and ensuring their effective integration into the labor market.
