Women About Themselves: Status, Expectations and Prospects
Starting from March 2 of the current year, the Republican Center for the Study of Public Opinion “Ijtimoiy Fikr” has launched a large-scale nationwide sociological study entitled “Women About Themselves: Status, Expectations and Prospects.”
The purpose of the study is to conduct a comprehensive and scientifically grounded assessment of women’s social status in the country, their economic activity, family and professional roles, value systems, and future-oriented social aspirations.
The research is aimed at analyzing the dynamics of gender relations, the level of social equality, and the opportunity environment through the prism of women’s own subjective evaluations. In this context, the study examines not only opinions but also practical indicators such as participation in decision-making processes, the level of economic independence, and attitudes toward education and career prospects.
Within the framework of the study, it is planned to determine the overall assessment of women’s role in society, analyze the state of gender equality and real opportunities, and evaluate forms of employment, sources of income, and the degree of women’s participation in the labor market.
In addition, the study will examine the issue of balancing professional activity and family responsibilities, women’s aspirations for professional growth and education, as well as their interest in entrepreneurship and opportunities to start their own businesses. Special attention will be given to assessing women’s living standards, factors contributing to their improvement, and the most pressing social, economic, and cultural challenges that cause the greatest concern.
This study represents a significant socio-scientific initiative aimed at analyzing the development of women’s social activity and internal potential not only from an individual perspective but also through institutional and systemic approaches.
