June 1 — International Children’s Day!
The future of every nation is determined by the generation it raises today. In this sense, International Children’s Day is not only a holiday, but also an important date that provides an opportunity to once again deeply reflect on the fate of children — society’s greatest wealth — their rights and interests, decent living conditions, and future.
Today, in New Uzbekistan, ensuring the rights and freedoms of children, creating a safe and healthy environment for them, supporting their access to quality education and upbringing, and creating broad opportunities for the realization of their talents occupy a special place among the priority tasks of state policy.
In recent years, large-scale reforms have been implemented to develop the preschool education system, improve the quality of general secondary education, expand opportunities for inclusive education, strengthen social protection for children, organize their leisure time in a meaningful way, and enhance the intellectual and spiritual potential of the younger generation. These changes primarily serve the happy and prosperous life of our children.
Public opinion plays an important role in assessing the effectiveness of decisions adopted and measures implemented in the field of ensuring children’s rights. After all, any reform reveals its true social significance only when it serves human interests.
From this point of view, the Republican Center for the Study of Public Opinion “Ijtimoiy Fikr” regularly conducts sociological studies among citizens of the country to examine public opinion on issues related to the legal protection of children, education and upbringing, the influence of the family institution on child development, the spiritual development of the younger generation, information security, and mechanisms of social support. The results of these studies show that the population considers issues of children’s education, health, spiritual upbringing, and protection of their rights to be among the most important priorities of the country’s development.
The protection of children from various threats, the creation of a safe social environment for them, and the further expansion of conditions for acquiring modern knowledge and skills are noted as particularly important tasks supported by the public. Sociological observations show that the issue of child upbringing is perceived not only as the responsibility of the family, but also as the responsibility of society as a whole. This indicates that the social foundations of the policy aimed at elevating human dignity, strengthening the institution of the family, and raising a harmoniously developed generation are becoming increasingly strong in our country.
Attention to children is attention to the future. Children’s happiness and their development into educated, healthy, and patriotic individuals determine the country’s future progress, competitiveness, and spiritual strength.
On the occasion of International Children’s Day, the Republican Center for the Study of Public Opinion “Ijtimoiy Fikr” sincerely congratulates all our compatriots on this bright date.
Dear children! You are the future of our country, the embodiment of the noble dreams and aspirations of our people, and the greatest wealth of New Uzbekistan. We wish you good health, a carefree childhood, great achievements, new successes, and a happy future. Happy holiday!
