On May 19 of this year, the Republican Center for the Study of Public Opinion "Ijtimoiy Fikr" launched a sociological study on the topic “Citizens' Opinions on Child Upbringing and the Protection of Children's Rights in Uzbekistan on the Eve of International Children's Day – June 1”.
The purpose of this study is to examine citizens’ attitudes toward issues of child upbringing, the level of protection of children’s rights, parental involvement in the educational process, as well as citizens’ views on state policy and the society’s core values.
As part of the survey, opinions are also being collected regarding existing problems in child upbringing and their causes, the role of discipline and values in the educational process, the impact of parental responsibility and financial well-being, the role of the state and educational institutions in upbringing, and issues related to the fundamental rights of children in need of protection. These include risks such as violence, internet safety, early marriages, and other pressing problems affecting children.
The “Ijtimoiy Fikr” Center will continue its systematic efforts to conduct research aimed at protecting children's rights, raising public awareness, and improving the upbringing system. This study clearly demonstrates the relevance of child-related issues in society and the importance of cooperation among all stakeholders in addressing emerging challenges.
