On August 13, 2025, the Republican Center for the Study of Public Opinion “Ijtimoiy Fikr” held a meeting within the framework of the permanent scientific-practical seminar “Current Issues in the Study and Formation of Public Opinion in Uzbekistan: Methods, Theory, and Practice” on the topic “Key Results of Activities in the Context of Major Events of the First Half of 2025.”
The event focused on monitoring public opinion in the country, analyzing social attitudes and processes. In this context, the participants discussed strengthening the scientific and theoretical foundations of sociological research, improving methodological approaches, and implementing research results in practice.
The seminar was opened by the Director of the “Ijtimoiy Fikr” Center, who gave a detailed overview of the large-scale studies conducted in the first half of 2025, projects within the framework of national and international cooperation, as well as innovative scientific approaches. According to him, the study of public opinion is not only about numbers and statistics, but also an important scientific basis for a deep understanding of the country’s social dynamics and for pursuing policies that meet the needs and expectations of the population.
During the meeting, reports were presented in several areas:
- Shakhlo Khatamovna Imamova — on innovations in the activities of the Center’s staff and personnel policy.
- Viktoriya Sergeyevna Alekseyeva, PhD — on the effectiveness of scientific research and the Center’s place in the international scientific community.
- Mansur Sherikbayevich Seitov, PhD — on achievements in the field of scientific activity and innovative initiatives.
- Igor Mikhailovich Bokun — on modern mechanisms of information and mathematical support for sociological research.
- Timur Raviliyevich Muratov — on effective methods applied in the field of information technology and information security.
- Umida Mukhamadjonovna Khalikova — on the experience of organizing and conducting applied research.
- Azizbek Bakhodirovich Tadzhibaev — on the conclusions drawn from scientific and analytical research.
- Irina Mikhailovna Kulyapina — on optimizing administrative and economic processes.
During the discussions, participants addressed pressing methodological issues in the study of public opinion, opportunities for introducing new technologies, and ways to apply research findings in public administration.
In conclusion, the seminar featured an active exchange of views and proposals on further improving the quality of sociological research, adapting the processes of studying public opinion to the requirements of digital transformation, and bringing the results to the wider public.
