OUR MOTHER TONGUE — A SOURCE OF NATIONAL PRIDE, SYMBOL OF NATIONAL IDENTITY AND SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT!

Dear compatriots!

On the occasion of Uzbek Language Day, celebrated on 21 October, the team of the Republican centre of the study of the public opinion “Ijtimoiy fikr” extends its sincerest congratulations to you all!

Our native language is a оne of our nation's most precious treasures that preserves our people’s historical memory, national identity, rich cultural heritage and centuries-old wisdom. It connects the past with the present, strengthens the bonds between generations and provides a strong foundation for unity within society, rooted in shared values and traditions.

October 21, 1989 became a significant date in the history of our people. Granting Uzbek the status of a state language marked a new chapter in our national identity, strengthened respect for our mother tongue and opened up new opportunities to enhance its role in the life of the state and society.

Today, the Uzbek language continues to grow and thrive, expanding its presence in science, education, culture, public administration and digital technologies. It plays an increasingly important role in the spiritual and intellectual development of our society, helping to preserve our national heritage and opening up new opportunities to enrich it further.

Preserving and developing our mother tongue, strengthening its standing in society, nurturing its creative and intellectual potential, and instilling in the younger generation pride and respect for the Uzbek language are our shared duty and responsibility.

Language is more than a means of communication. It is a powerful spiritual force that brings people together, fosters mutual understanding and strengthens trust, harmony and social cohesion. It gives voice to the hopes and aspirations of our people, their values, the experience passed down through generations and their faith in a brighter future.

The great thinker and poet Alisher Navoi holds a special place in the history and development of the Uzbek literary language. Through his timeless works, he revealed its extraordinary richness, beauty and expressive power. To this day, the Uzbek language remains one of the cornerstones of our national culture, enlightenment and social progress.

Dear compatriots,

May our mother tongue always fill our homes with warmth, love and mutual understanding! May it open the door to knowledge for younger generations, inspire researchers to make new discoveries and encourage us all to work towards a brighter future and strive for great achievements!

May our children grow up proud of the richness and beauty of their mother tongue, cherish its unique character and pass this priceless heritage on to future generations.

May the Uzbek language continue to gain respect and recognition on the international stage, revealing to the world the depth of our culture, the achievements of our people and the enduring spirit of our nation!

With warm regards,

The team of the Republican centre of the study of the public opinion “Ijtimoiy fikr”
