Upbringing of Children and Protection of Their Rights in Uzbekistan

Since May 25 of the current year, in connection with June 1 — International Children’s Day, the Republican Center for the Study of Public Opinion “Ijtimoiy Fikr” has launched a sociological survey among citizens of the country on the topic “Upbringing of Children and Protection of Their Rights in Uzbekistan.”

The main purpose of this study is to examine citizens’ attitudes toward issues related to child upbringing, family values, child development, the protection of children’s rights, and their comprehensive support.

During the survey, the population’s assessment of the current state of child upbringing in the country will be analyzed, along with the social, spiritual, and moral problems faced by parents, the values considered important in raising the younger generation, the effectiveness of the education and upbringing system, as well as citizens’ opinions and attitudes regarding the level of protection of children’s rights.

One of the important aspects of the study is to identify current social issues related to children in modern conditions. In particular, the survey pays special attention to such issues as access to quality education and healthcare services, internet safety, domestic violence, social inequality, early marriages, child labor, and the physical, spiritual, and moral development of the younger generation.

At the same time, the study provides for the examination of citizens’ views on children’s rights, including the right to education, upbringing, living in a healthy and safe environment, social protection, and free development.

The results of this sociological study, conducted by the “Ijtimoiy Fikr” Center, will be of great importance for developing practical proposals and recommendations aimed at protecting the interests of children in the country, strengthening the institution of the family, improving the education and upbringing system, and creating a safe and stable social environment for the younger generation.

The study once again demonstrates that human dignity, the interests of the child, and the upbringing of a healthy generation are being consistently ensured in our country as one of the priority areas of state policy
