THE STATE EMBLEM — A SYMBOL OF NATIONAL PRIDE AND STATEHOOD

2 July is commemorated as an important historical date in the life of our country. On this day in 1992, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the State Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted, officially establishing the State Emblem as one of the sacred symbols of the country’s independence, sovereignty, and national statehood.

The State Emblem embodies the centuries-old history of our people, national values, and aspirations for peace, constructive labour, and prosperity. Each symbol depicted on it represents devotion to the homeland, national unity, and the noble goals associated with the development of New Uzbekistan.

Demonstrating profound respect for the state symbols is the constitutional duty of every citizen and an important expression of a sense of responsibility for and involvement in the destiny and future of the country.
