YOUTH — THE MAIN DRIVING FORCE BEHIND THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEW UZBEKISTAN
On the occasion of Youth Day, celebrated on 30 June, we sincerely congratulate all our compatriots, and especially the educated, proactive, and patriotic young people of our country.
Today, broad opportunities are being created in our country to develop the intellectual potential of young people, protect their rights and interests, ensure access to quality education and decent employment, support entrepreneurial activity, and encourage active participation in public life. As a result of the ongoing reforms, young people are taking an increasingly prominent place as active participants in the development of the state and society, as well as one of the country’s most important strategic resources.
The results of sociological studies regularly conducted by the Republican Center for the Study of Public Opinion “Ijtimoiy Fikr” to examine young people’s social attitudes, civic engagement, values, and perceptions of state youth policy clearly demonstrate the positive development of these processes.
According to the research findings, a significant proportion of young people take an active interest in the events occurring in the country’s social and political life. Many young people participate in the activities of mahallas, public associations, and youth organisations, while also supporting various social initiatives. In addition, the majority of young citizens freely express their views on important social issues through social networks and digital platforms. This indicates the continued development of civil society institutions and the steady growth of youth engagement in our country.
Sociological studies have also revealed a high level of trust among young people in the reforms being implemented in the country, as well as strong support for them. The overwhelming majority of respondents positively assessed the transformations carried out in recent years and expressed confidence in the state youth policy. A significant proportion of young people noted that these changes were having a positive impact on their personal lives and future opportunities.
The studies show that the most important priorities for young people include further improving the quality of education and professional training, expanding opportunities for decent employment, and supporting youth entrepreneurship. This once again confirms that young people associate the future of the country with knowledge, productive work, and innovative development.
The Republican Center for the Study of Public Opinion “Ijtimoiy Fikr” will continue to regard the systematic and scientifically grounded study of public opinion as one of its priority tasks. This includes analysing the needs and aspirations of young people, ensuring that their views become an important factor in effective dialogue between the state and society, and developing practical recommendations aimed at increasing the effectiveness of state youth policy.
On the occasion of Youth Day, we wish all young people good health, the achievement of ambitious goals, academic and professional success, the fulfilment of noble initiatives, and great accomplishments in their efforts to contribute to the development of New Uzbekistan.
Happy Youth Day, dear youth!
