A SCHOOL OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR FUTURE SOCIOLOGISTS

Improving the quality of human capital, ensuring a close link between education and practical experience, and training highly qualified professionals are among the key priorities of state policy in our country. As part of these efforts, sociology students from the National University of Uzbekistan, the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan, and Alisher Navoi University of Uzbek Language and Literature have begun their professional internship at the Republican Center for the Study of Public Opinion “Ijtimoiy Fikr.”

The internship program is designed to strengthen the theoretical knowledge of future sociologists, familiarize them with modern research technologies, and develop the professional skills required in the field of public opinion research. During the internship, students gain practical insight into the main stages of organizing and conducting sociological research, developing research programs, preparing questionnaires and interview tools, as well as collecting, processing, and analyzing empirical data.

Today, in-depth analysis of the social, economic, and cultural changes taking place in society, the study of public attitudes and needs, and the assessment of trends in public opinion are becoming increasingly important. In this context, the “Ijtimoiy Fikr” Center serves as a unique scientific and practical laboratory for young researchers, providing them with an opportunity to work in a real research environment.

Throughout the internship, students become familiar with national and international practices in public opinion research, methods used in sociological studies, modern approaches to data analysis, and techniques for preparing analytical conclusions. This contributes to the development of their research potential and helps strengthen their critical and analytical thinking skills.

Such cooperation between educational institutions and research-oriented organizations plays an important role in the professional development of young people.
