On April 29–30 of this year, the Plekhanov Russian University Of Economics In Tashkent held a series of ceremonial events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of its establishment. The official program, prepared in honor of this significant milestone, was organized at a high level with the participation of leading representatives from the governmental, academic, and educational circles of Uzbekistan and Russia.

The event was officially opened by Director Of Plekhanov Russian University Of Economics In Tashkent Academician Kalandar.Khodjayevich Abdurakhmanov. In his speech, he highlighted achievements in the fields of education and science, success in training highly qualified personnel, international cooperation, and the results attained on the path to digital transformation.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, a number of official and scientific-practical meetings were held. Notable speeches were delivered by:

• Ivan Vasilyevich Lobanov, Rector of the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, and Vice-Rector Vladimir Gennadiyevich Minashkin;
• Oleg Sergeyevich Malginov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Uzbekistan;
• Kongratbay Sharipov, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The event was  attended by Nigina Rakhimova, Director of the Republican Center for the Study of Public Opinion “Ijtimoiy Fikr,” and Mansur Seitov, Deputy Director for Research and Innovation. They warmly congratulated the branch’s team, emphasizing the importance of public opinion in education, inter-institutional dialogue, and the role of the public in the reform process.

As part of the event's program, a symbolic “ПУСК” button was ceremoniously launched to mark the opening of the Advanced School of Artificial Intelligence Engineering.

Within the scientific section of the event, significant activities were organized with the participation of international specialists and experts. In particular, a roundtable discussion was held on the topic “The Use of Artificial Intelligence in the Economy: Analysis of the Banking and Financial Sector,” where pressing issues and promising directions in the field were discussed.

In addition, guests were presented with university exhibitions, library publications, scientific-practical conferences, master classes, and cultural programs.

Today, the Plekhanov Russian University Of Economics In Tashkent functions not only as a center of economic knowledge but also as a globally recognized scientific and innovative platform.The anniversary celebration marked an important milestone in the scientific, educational, and strategic development of the branch.
