Uzbek people celebrate the 34th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s Independence
September 1 is a special day for every citizen of our country. It is not just a date on the calendar — it is a holiday that unites pride in the past, faith in the future, and a deep sense of respect and love for the Motherland. It is a day when every Uzbek feels their connection to the great history of the country and values the fact that they live in an independent and free Uzbekistan.
This year, the people of Uzbekistan are celebrating the 34th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s Independence under the inspiring motto: “In the name of the Motherland, in the name of the nation, in the name of the people!” These words reflect the essence of the era we live in: a time of profound transformation, strengthening an atmosphere of peace, friendship, and harmony in society, ensuring the rights, interests, honor, and dignity of each person, further developing good-neighborly relations in the region, actively cooperating with countries around the world, enhancing the authority of our Motherland on the international stage, and confidently achieving the goals set by the President of the country, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in the Uzbekistan – 2030 Strategy.
On the eve of the holiday, the initiative of the Republican Center for the Study of Public Opinion Ijtimoiy Fikr, which is conducting the public opinion survey “Uzbekistan: 34 Years of State Independence,” is gaining special significance.
Public opinion research dedicated to celebrating Independence Day has become a true chronicle of citizens’ views and expectations, reflecting how Uzbeks assess the path the country has taken over the years of independence and their attitude toward the reforms carried out under the leadership of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev.
Today, as new horizons open up for Uzbekistan, the opinion of the people is becoming the main guiding benchmark for building the future. In the context of large-scale reforms and transformations, the survey reveals what is truly important to the people and provides feedback on the real expectations of society. It serves as a guide for further measures taken by the country’s leadership.
Citizens from all regions of the country will take part in the upcoming study — urban and rural residents, men and women, representatives of different nationalities and social groups, those employed in the public and private sectors of the economy, youth, and people of middle and older generations.
