October 21 - Uzbek Language Day

Dear compatriots!

The staff of the Republican Center for the Study of Public Opinion "Ijtimoiy Fikr" sincerely congratulates you on October 21 - Uzbek Language Day, the day when the law was adopted to recognize the Uzbek language as the state language of the Republic of Uzbekistan!

As is known, on October 21, 1989, the Law "On the State Language" was passed, granting Uzbek the status of the state language. This historic step became an important stage in affirming the national identity of our people, its culture, and spiritual heritage. The Uzbek language, with a history of more than a thousand years, is a key element of our national identity.

In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan №LRU-615 dated April 10, 2020, October 21 was officially declared Uzbek Language Day. This decision emphasizes the importance of the native language in the prosperity of an independent state and in the lives of its people.

The Uzbek language belongs to the Turkic language family and is the spiritual wealth of our people, the cultural and scientific heritage of our ancestors, and a true expression of our thinking and national values. Priceless literary works, wise sayings, and historical sources created in our language enrich the global cultural treasury. Great poets and thinkers such as Alisher Navoiy, Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, Furqat, and others demonstrated not only the richness of the Uzbek language but also the boundless potential of the human spirit through their works.

In this regard, it is our duty to raise the younger generation in the spirit of love and respect for our native language, to cherish its richness, to contribute to the further development of the Uzbek language, and to elevate its prestige on the international stage. Bringing the Uzbek language to the world arena is our collective pride and responsibility.

On the occasion of this bright holiday, on behalf of RCSPO "Ijtimoiy Fikr", we wish you all peace, prosperity, health, and success in all your endeavors. May our Uzbek language always rise high, and may its beauty, power, and richness leave an indelible mark in every heart.

Happy Uzbek Language Day, dear friends!
