TRAINING SEMINAR FOR MAHALLA CHAIRMEN: ORGANIZING ONLINE SOCIOLOGICAL SURVEYS AMONG THE POPULATION 

The Association of Mahallas of Uzbekistan held regular training seminar for mahalla chairmen, bringing together representatives of the central office and regional studios. The event was attended by 8,992 mahalla chairmen from all regions of the country.

A dedicated session focused on the organization of online sociological surveys among the population. Participants were introduced to the “Procedure for Organizing Online Sociological Surveys among the Population in Mahallas,” approved by a joint decision of the Association of Mahallas of Uzbekistan and the Republican Center for the Study of Public Opinion “Ijtimoiy Fikr.”

During the session, specialists from the “Ijtimoiy Fikr” Center presented the key principles of conducting online surveys, engaging effectively with local communities, and encouraging residents to participate in sociological research.

Particular attention was focused on the practical role of mahalla chairmen in organizing such surveys, communicating with residents, providing the necessary explanations, and helping to ensure broad and informed participation in the research process.

The seminar concluded with a question-and-answer session and an exchange of views, giving participants an opportunity to discuss practical issues and clarify the procedures for conducting online sociological surveys at the mahalla level.

The knowledge and practical recommendations gained during the seminar will contribute to the development of modern forms of interaction with the population, strengthen communication at the local level, and expand opportunities for the systematic study of public opinion across mahallas.
