Parliamentary Election-2024
The Republican Center for the Study of Public Opinion "Ijtimoiy Fikr" has started conducting a public opinion poll on the topic of "Parliamentary Election-2024" on the election of deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and deputies of regional, city and district councils of people's deputies.
The election is scheduled for October 27 of this year, as specified in the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Citizens will elect 150 deputies to the Legislative Chamber, 65 deputies to the Dzhokorg Council of Karakalpakstan, and deputies to 208 district (city) councils across the regions and Tashkent city. Researching public opinion to determine the level of public engagement in the upcoming election and the political preferences of eligible voters is a priority for the "Ijtimoiy Fikr" Center.
During this research, the main features of the pre-election behavior and attitude of the citizens of Uzbekistan to the upcoming election are studied. At the initial stage of public opinion research, one of the main tasks is to determine the level of awareness of the population of our country regarding the election of deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and deputies of regional, city and district councils. The priority direction of this research will be to determine the level of activity of citizens in the socio-political and socio-economic life of the country.
Conducting a sociological survey during the upcoming election campaign provides an opportunity to understand the pre-election behavior of the citizens of Uzbekistan by revealing aspects such as the desire to participate in voting, identifying the problems that bother voters the most, and creating a rating. Also, it focuses on studying citizens' familiarity with the Oliy Majlis, specifically the work of the parliamentary corps, how personally important it is for citizens to participate in elections to the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as to regional and district councils, and what qualities they consider important when voting for candidates.
This survey includes participants from all regions of the country, both urban and rural populations, men and women aged 18 and older, representatives of various nationalities, social groups, and individuals employed in different sectors and industries.
