In Uzbekistan, ensuring youth employment, supporting their rightful place in the labor market, and promoting effective integration between the educational process and the labor sector are among the priority areas of state policy. In particular, Presidential Decree № DP-616 "On Measures to Increase Employment and Improve the Activities of Labor Authorities" outlines institutional and organizational measures aimed at involving the population, especially young people, in gainful employment.
In this regard, on April 18, 2025, a job fair was held at the National University of Uzbekistan, with active participation from the Republican Center for the Study of Public Opinion "Ijtimoiy Fikr". The purpose of the event was to prepare students and graduates for the labor market, introduce them to relevant job opportunities, and identify the potential of promising young professionals for research activities and positions at the “Ijtimoiy Fikr” Сenter itself.
Specialists from the Сenter provided participants with detailed information about sociological research processes, methodologies for studying public opinion, as well as opportunities for internships and practical training in the field. As part of the fair, open dialogues were held with students to explore their professional interests, attitudes toward society, readiness for employment, and their potential for active civic engagement.
This event reflects the state policy implemented under the idea "Youth — the Future of New Uzbekistan" and aims to strengthen effective cooperation between educational institutions and government organizations, develop human capital, and build a healthy civil society.
The participation of the Republican Center for the Study of Public Opinion "Ijtimoiy Fikr" in such events helps establish direct dialogue with youth, examine their opinions and attitudes, and thereby create a scientifically grounded basis for shaping governance decisions. Additionally, job fairs contribute to enhancing citizens’ sociological awareness and encourage their active involvement in social processes, forming an important scientific and practical mechanism.
