Uzbekistan: 33rd Anniversary of State Independence in the Public Opinion Mirror

Uzbekistan is actively preparing to celebrate the 33rd anniversary of independence, which is considered an important historical date in the life of our country and society.

The Republican Center for the Study of Public Opinion "Ijtimoiy Fikr" conducted a public opinion survey dedicated to the celebration of Independence Day, the main event of 2024 for the national consciousness, which has become traditional for our country. The data obtained during the research reflect the social mood of the Uzbeks on the eve of the important date, the citizens' assessment of the effectiveness of the reforms implemented in the country, the opinions of the residents of different regions about the changes taking place in their lives, society, and the state as a whole. One of the priority directions of the research was to determine the attitude of Uzbeks to the Independence Day and what meaning they give to this national holiday.

The results of the research carried out by the center confirm that during all the years that the Independence Day holiday has been celebrated, this day has gained more and more symbolic meaning as Uzbekistan has gone through each stage of its development.
